Her experience includes leading large teams of 40+ people, aligning people and strategy to match business objectives, and the coaching and mentoring of executive leaders and direct reports to help all be successful in their roles. From the onset of her professional career, Jennifer was tactically trained in the “nitty gritty” of HR and, stemming from that, she has a breadth of knowledge and experience in compensation and benefits from the smallest organizations up to the very large ones.
She has led organizations and teams through tough transitions and major shifts in overall business objectives and strategies. She has created HR policies from scratch and revamped policies that weren’t working while always keeping an eye on how to ensure each policy or practice within an organization or business connects back to the culture that the organization is striving to build. She has also helped organizations transition from full-insured to self-insured health plans.
As a strong leader of people herself, Jennifer has been a trusted advisor to senior leaders and she has found her niche in helping leaders of organizations who are wearing many hats while simultaneously not having enough bandwidth to focus on the finer details of HR and its policies and procedures.
Experience has taught her that many organizations may not have the budget or the need for full-time HR staff. She is here to help fill that gap.
While Jennifer’s varied experience allows her to give support in a variety of areas she particularly adds value to helping organizations and teams that are struggling discover the root causes of internal problems. By observing, Jennifer is able to provide recommendations and help implement solutions. Jennifer excels at partnering with leaders and HR leaders to help them build new HR teams. She also is able to work in tandem with struggling HR teams to help them add strategic value to the business. Outside of the organizational design and planning work, Jennifer is well versed and available to support other aspects of HR such as conducting workplace investigations, aiding a leader working through employee relations issues, writing employee handbooks or HR policies, compensation analysis, benefits support, leadership training as well as leadership mentoring and coaching. These services are available on both a contract and retainer basis.
